I know I haven't posted much of anything here in quite a while. Doing my normal work schedule AND motherhood have taken a toll on any free time that I've had, but I have started to try and give myself a little time every day (even if it's 15 minutes or so) to try and sketch up something. But I'm not really posting here much anymore because it's just sketches and honestly it's just much faster to post into Instragram because then I can post to FB, Tumblr and Twitter all from there in one click.  So if you don't already follow me on those channels, that's mainly where you can see my art for now.  It's not that I won't be posting here every so often...but it'll probably be a very long time in between updates.

So, if you don't have my handles other places...

Twitter and Instagram: (at)KelleeArt

Follow me on those if you want to see a lot of sketches and/or WIPs. Otherwise, you can wait here for any final-ish pics I decide to post.

Thanks, y'all!

So I guess I'm sort of taking a poll here. I get asked a lot about creating tattoo commissions.  Would anyone here be interested if I opened up tattoo commissions?
Just an FYI - will probably not be back with new stuff on here til the end of the year or next year.  My little Nugget is scheduled to be taken out by C-section next Thursday (provided we don't end up getting her out earlier) since she's still breech and being very stubborn about that.

So anyways... I was going to do the Megacon Tampa show at the end of October, but from what I'm told it takes a good 6-8 weeks to heal fully from the c-section and so I'm guessing I won't be bouncing back as soon as I was hoping.

Take care y'all - thanks for following along with my art and sorry I've been less responsive as I'd like to be this year.  Can't wait to get back to the grind though!  I'm hoping parenthood gives me some new inspirations.

Much love and thanks,

~Kellee
So, it was brought to my attention that AliExpress has stolen my Marine del Rey design. It's the image I used for my TeePublic shirt, so if any of you also use TeePublic to sell your artwork, you may want to click through AliExpress and see if they are also using your designs. And also, if any of you have AliExpress accounts, please report this image so they might take it down! I'm reporting them right now and also going to be figuring out what I can do about this. Thanks, y'all!

Been kicking around the idea of Kickstarting an art book (probably after the baby is born - it'd give me something to do if I took a couple months off of regular work.)

Any thoughts on this?  What would you like to see in it?  Any idea of stretch goals?  Please comment below if you have any ideas on what you'd like to see from me.

Thanks!
1 Week away!  Yikes!

Okay y'all.  I haven't filled up all my commission slots for Megacon, but I'm gonna close it come Monday so I have time to do the ones I do have on my plate. If you want in, order by Sunday.  If not, no idea when I'll open commissions again since this is the only convention I'll be at this year.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I decided to open up for a few more commissions before the convention as I will not be doing commissions at the convention this year.
Please see my website for details.
Ummm...how am I just finding out about this?!  Next year I'll be better prepared!
If you don't follow my Facebook or Instagram feeds, you probably don't know a lot of what has happened in the past month (and also why I've been so very inactive.)
First off, the "big project" that I couldn't share yet was that I was waiting for 12 weeks to cross and we finally made it - I'm through my first trimester of pregnancy! First time being pregnant, docs never thought I would be, so it was a HUGE shock at the fact I could even hold a baby, but for all the fun being pregnant is, I ended up with Hyperemesis gravidarum (a very extreme type of morning sickness) - which in my case, lasts 24/7 and has put me in the hospital numerous times from dehydration because I cannot keep anything down nor be around the smell of pretty much anything good or bad.  I'm slowly on the mend for it (we think), and as of my sonogram last Friday, baby is bouncing around in there and looks to be fine so far.  I have more tests tomorrow and waiting on some other blood test results to see if baby is fine on the inside, but so far so good and I'll take that for now.
But sadly, just 2 weeks after I told my family I was pregnant, my father passed away suddenly.  So... it has been a very bittersweet month.  He was so excited to be a grandpa to this new little bundle and I am glad he knew, even if it was super sad that I could not show him a sonogram picture.  I was so excited to get the sonogram print outs last Friday, then realize he wasn't at home to go show him... There's a lot of days where I still expect to run over to the house and talk to him about something or listen to his silly jokes, only to have to remember he isn't there. I still talk to the air though, in hopes that somewhere he's listening to me and watching what's going on. I'm trying to get things together to put in a memory book so my little nugget will get to have a keepsake of the grandfather he/she won't get to know in person.
So anyways, I guess that's kinda been it for the moment.  I really haven't been able to work (professionally or on my own stuff) because of being so sick, so I try here and there to do things when I'm feeling better, but it's been a very long month.  My leggings got delayed from all this going on as well, but hopefully I'll get back to working on those in the next week or so, so we can get those out and about and I'm also try to get working on some coloring books and other random things to get ready for Megacon since it's the only convention I'll be attending this year.
Thank you for all the love and support and I hope I'll be back on the mend quickly and getting to share some very fun things again in the future.
Until the next time...
xoxo
Nothing really to report yet.  My last journal title was Merry Christmas, and well, since it's February now just needed to get that off there.
I have a good reason for being very MIA, but I will not reveal that until later on.  I'll try to post some stuff as time allows.
Anyways, hope everyone is good and that their 2016 is treating them well so far!
Off I go back into the world of the unknown...
Merry Christmas to y'all!  Thank you so much for following my little page over the years.  It means a lot!
Here's to a wonderful day and an even more exciting 2016!
XOXO
Holy snarkies, y'all!  I'm only 6 people away from 10,000 watchers on here!  Guess I haven't really been paying as much attention to this account lately!
I'll do an original piece giveaway on here, just like I did for my 10k over on Instagram.  It may have to wait til after the holidays because I'm swamped with work and company coming into town for the holidays, but I'll think of something to do!
Sorry I've been so quiet as of late.  Life is life and a lot of times it just gets in the way of things I can actually show since I can never show work stuff.  Although hopefully you all will enjoy several of the Mattel SDCC exclusives next year!  ;)  I cannot wait to show them to you!
I've got a huge goal list for next year and gonna try my very hardest to get to things I've been shirking off for the last 5 yrs or more, like tutorials, process videos, etc etc.  I've got a lot of my own projects coming up next year as well that I'll be happy to show progress steps of plus wrapping up my legging and dress collection and all that jazz.  2016 gonna be a crazy ride!  Can't wait to get to it all!
Hope you all have a great holiday season!  Many peace and blessings to you all!
XOXO
Sorry y'all for not posting much and kinda being MIA.  I've got a bunch of commercial projects going on as well as working on starting my own clothing label, so things here have been needless to say - insane.  Also got some really fun things to show once they're out... but it's just taking forever.  Anyways....thank you for all those that still keep watch on my page.  I promise I'll be back in the future (serious vacation is gonna be taken soon).
Hey y'all!
FOR THOSE ATTENDING SHOCK POP COMIC CON ONLY!
HOW TO ORDER
If I don't fill up all the slots I may open up some regular commission slots, so keep watching my social channels for announcements.
Also, I finally started sending out newsletters.  If you'd like to be the first to know of any convention news and commission openings, please SUBSCRIBE.
Thanks!
~Kel
Okay y'all.  Gonna give this a whirl.  As time goes on, depending how this goes, rewards may change (for the better) and such.  This is all I could think of for the moment.  If you have any other suggestions, let me know!
PATREON
Also, this will be the only chance outside of convention pre-orders to get a bust commission.  Luckily by the time the first Patreon term ends, I'll be done with the ones I still have outstanding!  :-D
I was kicking around the thought of a Patreon account, but any suggestions on what you'd like to see me offer?  I always see a ton of painting tutorials or what not -but I am way more comfortable in vector.  Would anyone want some vector tutorials?  I also thought about the normal "see my sketches, WIPs," etc and doing a monthly raffle based on tier for a traditional commission or even some digital commissions.  Thoughts?  Suggestions?
